The World Health Organisation (WHO) is under pressure to withdraw guidance<\/b><\/a> for schools, recommending that children aged four and under be taught about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one\u2019s own body, early childhood masturbation”.<\/p>\n

The organisation recommends that toddlers have “the right to ask questions about sexuality” and “the right to explore gender identities”.\u00a0 (Pictured right)<\/p>\n

These topics are described by WHO as the “minimal standards that need to be covered by sexuality education”.<\/p>\n

The World Health Assembly, with three delegates from each of the WHO’s 194 member states, is meeting in Geneva as we write. The delegates typically include a health minister, a health official, and your nation’s UN ambassador:<\/p>\n

Are children\u2019s rights protected?<\/h2>\n

A Government spokesperson for the Department of Education told Christian Voice: \u201cThe UK Government does not recognise this WHO guidance and we don\u2019t agree with its recommendations. We have not distributed or promoted it to schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe offer our own guidance to help schools to teach children and young people about relationships and health. This is for primary school aged children and above.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christian Voice also contacted campaign groups who claim to represent children\u2019s rights. Most declined to comment on this major issue involving the safety of children.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) said: ‘The organisation is a very small team, and we haven\u2019t looked at the WHO\u2019s guidance on this. We also don\u2019t do work surrounding this issue, so we are not able to comment on it’.<\/p>\n

Barnados told us: ‘Unfortunately, we\u2019re unable to help on this occasion’.\u00a0 Meanwhile, Save the Children Fund said: ‘We don\u2019t have anything to add to this story, so we cannot help on this occasion’.<\/p>\n

‘Children England’ are yet to get back to us.\u00a0\u00a0The Children’s Commissioner for England is yet to respond to our request for comment.<\/p>\n

The UK Prime Minister reacts<\/h2>\n

The Telegraph<\/b><\/a> reported that Mr Rishi Sunak is committed to bringing forward a review of statutory guidance on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), in light of the \u201csafeguarding scandal\u201d of inappropriate materials being used in schools.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister made the pledge in the House of Commons in response to a question from Miriam Cates, MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge. Ms Cates also organised a letter to Mr Sunak from fellow Tory MPs.<\/p>\n

She told Mr Sunak that children are being \u201csubjected to lessons that are age-inappropriate, extreme, sexualising and inaccurate, often using resources from unregulated organisations that are actively campaigning to undermine parents. This is not a victory for equality, it is a catastrophe for childhood.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bible says,
\n1 CORINTHIANS 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.<\/b><\/p>\n

MPs show concern<\/h2>\n

The Former Home Secretary Priti Patel MP, said: “It\u2019s shocking to see what\u2019s being taught to some children in our schools and concerning that parents are being ignored”.<\/p>\n

Further, former Education Minister Brendan Clarke-Smith, who also signed the letter from Miriam Cates asking the Prime Minister to review sex education for children, warned: \u201cTo present contentious issues to young minds as facts is totally wrong”.<\/p>\n

MP for Mansfield, Ben Bradley, stated, “I don\u2019t think people have any real sense of what some children are being taught in their schools. I\u2019ve spoken to many parents who have been horrified by some of the content”.<\/p>\n

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18; 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.<\/b><\/p>\n

No to sexualisation of children<\/h2>\n

Frank Furedi<\/b><\/a>, executive director of the think-tank, Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) said: “The exploitation of young people for political ends is already causing serious damage. The promoters of sexuality education are disorienting and disturbing kids.<\/p>\n

“They are plunging them into a crisis of identity from their very earliest years onwards”.<\/p>\n

On Spiked-online, Professor Furedi went further<\/strong><\/a>: ‘The purpose of the WHO guidance, which has been eagerly taken up by educational and health authorities over the past 10 or so years, is not education \u2013 it is indoctrination. This is clear from the WHO\u2019s emphasis on \u2018sexuality education\u2019, rather than what used to be known as \u2018sex education\u2019. There is an important difference between these two terms. Whereas sex education involves teaching children about sex and human reproduction, \u2018sexuality education\u2019 focusses on gender and sexual identity. As part of \u2018sexuality education\u2019, children are not being taught the facts of life. They\u2019re being taught a highly contested ideology.’<\/p>\n

He added that adult society needs to fight back against this silent campaign of indoctrination.<\/p>\n

Welsh Government followed WHO<\/h2>\n

Incredibly, the Welsh Government based its sex education policy on exactly the WHO terminology Prof Furedi condemned. Its draft Relationships and Sexuality Education Guidance published in 2019<\/strong><\/a> said: ‘The change in name to Relationships and Sexuality Education reflects the internationally recognised World Health Organisation (WHO) standards for sexuality education.’<\/p>\n

Mercifully, the Wales published guidance (2021)<\/strong><\/a> avoids the worst excesses of the WHO guidance. However, it still says: ‘Across the learning strands, curriculum content in RSE must be inclusive and reflect diversity. It must include learning that develops learners\u2019 awareness and understanding of different identities, views and values and a diversity of relationships, gender and sexuality, including LGBTQ+ lives. ‘\u00a0 It is, in other words, woke propaganda.\u00a0 And indeed, the word ‘sexuality’ occurs 16 tines, ‘gender’ 17.\u00a0 From age 11, children should have ‘An ability to advocate for and advance the rights of all and understand and respect all people in relation to sex, gender and sexuality.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month<\/strong><\/a>, Laura Anne Jones, Conservative shadow minister for education in Wales\u2019 regional government, challenged the WHO to take down its guidelines for sex education in Europe.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Seventy-sixth World Health Assembly (WHA)<\/b><\/a> is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 21 to 30 May 2023. The theme of this year\u2019s Health Assembly is: WHO at 75: saving lives, driving health for all.<\/p>\n
