And all the people shall say, Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4213\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4213\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/charges-against-anti-abortion-activists-struck-out\/lii8wks-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4213\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4213\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/LII8wks-300x222.jpg\" alt=\"A baby of eight weeks gestation, just a month younger than the typical age for abortion\" width=\"400\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/LII8wks-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/LII8wks.jpg 479w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4213\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A baby of eight weeks gestation, just a month younger than the typical age for abortion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Is this a manifestation of what writer G F Dalton described in his 1974 book, \u00a0&#8220;The Tradition of\u00a0Blood Sacrifice\u00a0to the\u00a0Goddess Eire&#8221;?\u00a0 Eire, or Erin, was an earth-goddess closely identified with the land.\u00a0 \u00a0Or perhaps still is, if she has never been formally cast out.\u00a0 And according to Dalton, she demands blood sacrifice.\u00a0 As we shall see below, &#8217;twas ever thus among the pagans.<\/p>\n<h2>For &#8216;women&#8217;s lives&#8217;?<\/h2>\n<p>But what can our excuse be in the United Kingdom?\u00a0 The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spuc.org.uk\/abortion\/uk\/law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Society for the Protection of Unborn Children<\/a><\/strong> says 8.4 million abortions have been carried out in Great Britain since the Abortion Act 1967 came into force in 1968.\u00a0 If Satan draws power for the shedding of innocent blood, over 160,000 legalised murders per year will do him just nicely.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the pro-abortion side employed duplicitous language in the Irish referendum.\u00a0 One popular &#8216;Yes&#8217; poster had the slogan, &#8216;For women&#8217;s lives&#8217;.\u00a0 Women&#8217;s lives were already protected by the 8th Amendment.\u00a0 It was unborn babies&#8217; lives which were at stake.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-44241521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As John McGuirk from &#8216;Save the 8th&#8217; put it<\/a><\/strong>, &#8220;The unborn child no longer has a right to life recognised by the Irish state.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Shortly, legislation will be introduced that will allow babies to be killed in our country,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tweeting on Friday night, homosexual Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said: &#8220;Thank you to everyone who voted today. Democracy in action. I congratulate the Irish people on their decision and all of #Together4Yes on their successful campaign. &#8211; PM @theresa_may #repealedthe8th&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, at least we now know where the vicar&#8217;s daughter stands.\u00a0 Moreover, she was urging gay rights on the Commonwealth last month.\u00a0 That came days after bombing the sovereign state of Syria, an illegal act of aggression.\u00a0 Does anyone still think she will deliver Brexit without our prayer and a mighty move of God?<\/p>\n<p>Penny Mordaunt MP, the UK&#8217;s minister for women and equalities, rallied to the pro-death banner, speaking of a &#8220;historic and great day for Ireland and a hopeful one for Northern Ireland&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, chair of Westminster&#8217;s health committee, also called for Northern Ireland to legalise abortion.\u00a0 Currently, the Province is the only part of the United Kingdom to stand against both abortion and gay marriage.<\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;No impact&#8217; on Northern Ireland<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12687\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12687\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/republic-of-ireland-votes-abortion\/mcdonald-oneill\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-12687\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12687\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/McDonald-ONeill-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Sinn F\u00e9in's Michelle O\u2019Neill and Mary Lou McDonald celebrate the result of the abortion referendum in Dublin by calling for abortion in Ulster. Photograph: Reuters<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Indeed, all the media are talking up invented implications for Ulster.\u00a0 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-northern-ireland-44271876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Naturally, the BBC is taking the lead<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Meanwhile,\u00a0Sinn F\u00e9in&#8217;s Mary-Lou McDonald and Michelle O&#8217;Neill held up a sign saying: &#8220;The north is next&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0So much for respecting the teachings of their church, eh?<\/p>\n<p>But Arlene Foster MLA, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader, said the result would have &#8216;no impact&#8217; in the North.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Friday&#8217;s referendum has no impact upon the law in Northern Ireland, but we obviously take note of issues impacting upon our nearest neighbour,&#8221; Mrs Foster said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The legislation governing abortion is a devolved matter and it is for the Northern Ireland Assembly to debate and decide such issues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Feminism&#8217;s dirty little secret<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-44286055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shadow Attorney General Shami Chakrabarti<\/a><\/strong> exposed feminism&#8217;s dirty little secret.\u00a0 It is inherently pro-death.\u00a0 Abortion is &#8216;a feminist test,&#8217; she said.\u00a0 She called for the Prime Minister to introduce abortion to Ulster over the heads of the DUP.\u00a0 And why should Mrs May do that?\u00a0 Because she was a &#8220;self-identifying feminist,&#8221; said Baroness Chakrabarti.\u00a0 &#8220;The test of feminists is whether they stick up for all women&#8221;, continued the noble lady.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion is not of course &#8216;sticking up for all women&#8217;.\u00a0 But it is sticking it to Almighty God.\u00a0 And that is what matters to feminists.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the words of the Lord of life to Israel echo down the ages:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Blood defiles the land<\/h2>\n<p>Pray for Ireland and for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.\u00a0 Pray there will soon come a time when we shall look back in horror at legalised abortion.\u00a0 That we shall hang our heads in shame and repent as a nation.\u00a0 Pray the two-to-one majority will reverse by the grace of God.<\/p>\n<p>Some of us still cite this word to Solomon.\u00a0 We think the actions described, if carried out by Christians, or even some Christians in a gathering for prayer, will bring about the healing of our land:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2Chron 7:14\u00a0 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here is the stark reality.\u00a0 It does not matter how big the gathering or how sincere the prayer.\u00a0 Our land will never be healed while the blood of innocents flows daily from the abortion clinics of Great Britain.\u00a0 For that matter, it will never be healed while true restoration is not made for the victims of murder.\u00a0 Prayer is never wasted, but how much better to pray targeted prayers.\u00a0 That means prayers for repentance, not prayers of self-delusion.\u00a0 The Bible says clearly:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Num 35:33\u00a0 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Abortion is our version of pagan sacrifice<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1769\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1769\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/life-before-birth-death-before-birth\/vacuum\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1769\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/vacuum-300x196.jpg\" alt=\"The terrible results of a vacuum abortion on a child of 12 weeks gestation.
