Many will have been cheered by images of Muslims at vigils for the recent victims of terror.<\/p>\n

The mainstream media have been quick to promote the idea of Muslims standing in solidarity with society. After all, it bolsters the establishment\u00a0proposition\u00a0that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, after a bit of analysis, it appears virtually all the Muslims we saw at the recent vigils have been from the Ahmadiyya sect.<\/p>\n

The sect has been prominent in the aftermath of the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks. \u00a0Their women were lined up on Westminster Bridge, as the Independent reported<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0A minute’s silence on the Bridge, reported in the Metro<\/a><\/strong>, also saw Ahmadiyya slogans prominent.<\/p>\n

Love for all<\/h2>\n

It is nice to remember that not all Muslims want to kill and maim kaffir, or unbelievers. \u00a0All the same, to claim these peaceful Muslims\u00a0as representative of majority Islam is a bit of a stretch.<\/p>\n

The Ahmadi use slogans such as ‘Love for all, hatred for none’. \u00a0Indeed, that becomes their website name<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0In addition, they\u00a0believe the\u00a0Muslim Messiah has come.<\/p>\n

Ahmadiyya is named after its founder Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian in 1889. Ahmad claimed he was the awaited Messiah<\/a><\/strong> and Mahdi prophesied by ‘Prophet’ Muhammad and foretold by the Qur’an.<\/p>\n

The Ahmadiyya have mosques all over Britain with eight in Greater London alone. \u00a0The largest mosque in Western Europe is their international headquarters in Morden, Surrey. \u00a0The Baitul Futuh Mosque (English: House of Victories), was completed in 2003. \u00a0It cost approximately \u00a315 million, which came entirely from donations given by the 30,000 Ahmadi Muslims in the UK. \u00a0So the sect is not poor or small.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, alongside majority Islam those numbers are tiny. \u00a0The 2011 census showed 2.8 million Muslims in the UK.<\/p>\n

Islam\u00a0has 1.8 billion adherents worldwide, of whom\u00a0something over\u00a0ten million are Ahmadis.<\/p>\n

Ahmadayyi started In the Punjab but the sect is now persecuted in\u00a0Pakistani. \u00a0By a law passed in 1974, no Pakistani Ahmadi may call himself a Muslim.<\/p>\n

Canon Giles Fraser, writing in the Guardian, says<\/a><\/strong>: ‘Even the application form for a Pakistani passport has a section requiring all Muslims to condemn the founder of their community, making Pakistani citizenship all but impossible for Ahmadis.’<\/p>\n

That is why the sect is now headquartered in Surrey.<\/p>\n

Regarded as heretics<\/h2>\n

The Ahmadiyya\u00a0practice the first five<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Sunni Muslim pillars of Islam. \u00a0That’s the Shahadah, Prayers, Fasting, Alms and the Hajj. \u00a0They omit the Sixth Pillar of Jihad, unsurprisingly. \u00a0But despite the similarities, Sunni Muslims, the Muslim majority worldwide, regard them as heretics or unbelievers. \u00a0So do the Shia minority like them?<\/p>\n

No. \u00a0Because the Ahmadi spun off from the Sunni, they are nine-carat heretics to the Shia.<\/p>\n

Giles Fraser goes on: ‘Remember the shopkeeper in Glasgow, Asad Shah, who was stabbed to death after posting a message of Easter greetings on his Facebook page? He was Ahmadi. This morning (7th July 2016)\u00a0a Bradford cab driver admitted to murdering him for \u201cdisrespecting\u201d the prophet<\/a>.<\/strong>‘<\/p>\n

So let us not be fooled by images of ‘Muslims’ standing in solidarity with the fallen. \u00a0These are sadly not Sunni Muslims renouncing\u00a0the Jihad. \u00a0We might\u00a0applaud the peaceful<\/p>\n

ways of the Ahmadiyya. \u00a0However, they may have the effect of convincing the unaware that Islam as a whole is peaceful. \u00a0Regretfully, it is not.<\/p>\n

Secondly, the followers of Ahmad may convince themselves that they have found the world’s Messiah. \u00a0Again, they have not. \u00a0There is only Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
