Twenty-two people have\u00a0died\u00a0and fifty-nine are injured after\u00a0a bomb attack at a concert given by one Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n

The atrocity was carried out at Manchester Arena. \u00a0It was a suicide attack. \u00a0The attacker, thought to be a Muslim extremist, died in the attack.<\/p>\n

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected and their families.<\/p>\n

Second most followed person on Instagram<\/h2>\n

We also need to focus on the nature of the concert. \u00a0Eighteen months ago, in November 2015, gunmen struck at the Bataclan in Paris. \u00a0A band called ‘Eagles of Death Metal’ were playing. \u00a0I investigated the band, the genre and the lyrics and published a video at the time. \u00a0Here it is<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The performance of Ariana Grande was not as dark and invoking quite so much pure evil as\u00a0the Bataclan gig. \u00a0Nevertheless, there are questions.<\/p>\n

Ariana Grande, or Grande-Butera, is twenty-three and American. \u00a0She appeals to a young audience, teens and younger. \u00a0The youngest named victim to date was just eight years old. \u00a0Wikipedia claims\u00a0Grande<\/a><\/strong> ‘has a large following on social media’. \u00a0I have to admit she is someone I never heard of before this morning. \u00a0Nevertheless, it seems ‘she is the second most followed person on Instagram’.<\/p>\n

Ariana Grande’s lesbian imagery<\/h2>\n

With a young audience comes the responsibility of setting a good example. \u00a0Sadly, with Ariana Grande, that is lacking. \u00a0The home page of her website at this time of writing<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has moving images of what appears to be lesbian activity in a launderette. \u00a0That may be fashionable, but it does not help her young fans to grow up to express normal attractions.<\/p>\n

In keeping with modern de mode lesbian chic, there are images and videos around of Ariana Grande doing other lesbian-style stuff. \u00a0She has or has had boyfriends. \u00a0Nevertheless, her shameless\u00a0promotion of bi- or pan-sexuality is plain irresponsible and thoughtless. \u00a0But then, it is slanted to earn accolades from the bien pensants.<\/p>\n

Not wholesome lyrics<\/h2>\n

Some of Arianna’s lyrics<\/a><\/strong> might not be exactly what an eight-year needs to hear.<\/p>\n

In ‘Moonlight’, the man she is singing about ‘Makes me want to give him my body’. \u00a0In ‘Dangerous Woman’, the boy ‘Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn’t’. \u00a0‘All girls wanna be like that,’ she sings, ‘Bad girls underneath, like that,’ And then: ‘All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God,\u00a0Don’t ya stop, boy.’ \u00a0‘Into you’ has ‘A little less conversation and a little more “touch my body”\u00a0Cause I’m so into you, into you, into you, oh yeah.’<\/p>\n

‘Let me love you’ features singer Dwayne Carter. \u00a0His contribution is: ‘<\/i>I say, “Girl, you need a hot boy.” \u00a0She say, “You need to stop f*****’ with them thots, boy.”\u00a0I say, “You need a real nigga?” She said, “Yes”, Lord.’ \u00a0Dwayne is a black guy so he can get away with the racist bits but, once more, do you really want your pre-teen daughter listening to that?<\/p>\n

And Ariana can do potty mouth as well. \u00a0In Bad Decisions: ‘Boy, you make me make bad decisions. \u00a0Don’t you know I ain’t f****** with them good boys? \u00a0Know you love me like ain’t nobody here, boy. \u00a0If you want it, boy, you got it. \u00a0Ain’t you ever seen a princess be a bad bitch?’<\/p>\n

No mention of atrocity on website<\/h2>\n

It must also be said that a full thirty-six hours after the attack at her gig, there was still no mention of it, or any expression of condolence for the victims, anywhere on her website. \u00a0That may well be an oversight and could have been rectified by the time you read this.<\/p>\n

The BBC\u00a0quotes <\/a><\/strong>Ariana Grande\u00a0as being ‘broken’ by the attack. \u00a0The Independent said she was\u00a0suspending her ‘Dangerous Woman’ world tour. \u00a0It now seems to be back on. \u00a0But she wants to pay for the victims’ funerals. \u00a0How weird an expression of empathy is that? \u00a0Mind you, that story is\u00a0in the Daily Mail so it might not be true.<\/p>\n

Prayer and Action<\/h2>\n

Once more, we have to call on parents to be aware of those who are influencing your children and exercise some control. \u00a0You are responsible for them:<\/p>\n

Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And please pray for our security services. \u00a0They can only foil such attacks if things go well for them. \u00a0I addressed some of these in this Brexit-themed video, ‘EU: Does the Lord Keep the City<\/a><\/strong>‘?<\/p>\n

Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Does Manchester’s yearly gay pride parade make it the sort of city which will enjoy the Lord’s protection? \u00a0As for Ariana Grande, does one really have to be an IS supporter to recognise debauchery in her work as well? \u00a0Or do you just need a moral compass?<\/p>\n
