to &#8216;terminataions&#8217;, or abortions, to avoid the weasel word. \u00a0The bill simply makes abortion, all abortion, fully legal. \u00a0If Diana Johnson was honest, the bill would be called the &#8216;Decriminalisation of Abortion Bill.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>But 180 Conservative MPs were in the House and stood by as the most extreme pro-abortion bill in a generation passed its first Parliamentary hurdle.<\/p>\n<p>Just thirteen minutes later these Tory faithful voted for the Government&#8217;s Brexit Timetable motion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/abortion-bill-brexit-mp-voted\/\" target=\"_blank\">See how your MP voted on the abortion bill, the timetable motion and the two Brexit votes on our page lsiting all MPs votes here<\/a>.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Abortion Bill could have been killed off<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10316\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10316\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/index.php\/abortion-bill-passes-tory-mps-stand\/mariacaulfield\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10316\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10316 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/MariaCaulfield-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Maria Caulfield MP opposed abortion on-demand\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/MariaCaulfield-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/MariaCaulfield-600x801.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/MariaCaulfield-768x1025.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.christianvoice.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/MariaCaulfield-767x1024.jpg 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10316\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Maria Caulfield MP opposed abortion on-demand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Those MPs, among\u00a0them pro-life stalwarts,\u00a0could have killed off\u00a0Diana Johnson&#8217;s Bill at a stroke.<\/p>\n<p>Among them was Commons Whip Guto Bebb. \u00a0Mr Bebb wrote to a\u00a0constituent, a Christian Voice member, to say the Bill was going nowhere anyway. \u00a0The Government would never give it time and never allow it to pass. \u00a0Another MP said &#8216;I generally avoid&#8217; Ten Minute Rule Bills.<\/p>\n<p>But the passing of the Johnson Bill has encouraged the abortion promoters in the House of Commons. \u00a0It would have sent the pro-death advocates a strong signal had Mr Bebb and his colleagues simply gone through the &#8216;No&#8217;
